Qatar Airways has elevated its in-flight experience by integrating SpaceX’s Starlink internet service, becoming the largest global airline and the first in the MENA region to do so.
This collaboration introduces a complimentary, high-speed internet connectivity onboard, promising passengers an unparalleled experience with boundless entertainment and information options.
Starlink, a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, offers connectivity solutions with coverage in over 70 countries. It boasts impressive download speeds of up to 350 megabits per second, transforming the in-flight experience by enabling activities like streaming, gaming, and more.

Qatar Airways is not alone in its quest for enhanced passenger connectivity. Other airlines have also begun to install Starlink on their fleets. Hawaiian Airlines, airBaltic, JSX, and ZipAir Tokyo are among those who have already embraced the broadband internet service provided by Starlink.
The cruise industry is also catching the wave of high-speed internet connectivity. Carnival Corporation recently announced that 100% of their worldwide fleet is now equipped with Starlink internet service, encompassing all brands within the corporation.
Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Hurtigruten Expeditions, American Cruise Lines, Silversea Cruises, and SeaDream Yacht Club are other brands that have Starlink up and running or are in the process of rolling it out.
