Gravity Inc. is set to deploy a network of high-speed charging stations across America’s city streets. These aren’t just any charging stations; they’re designed as “charging trees,” a futuristic concept that blends seamlessly into the urban landscape while providing unprecedented charging speeds of up to 500kW.

Gravity’s charging trees promise to deliver a charge that’s twice as fast as current standards, potentially outpacing even Tesla’s Superchargers.

With the capability to add 200 miles of range in a mere 5 minutes, these chargers are set to be the fastest on the market, making them a game-changer for EV owners who are all too familiar with the lengthy wait times at traditional charging points.

This isn’t Gravity’s first foray into the EV space. In 2021, the company made headlines by rolling out a fleet of electric taxi cabs in New York City, featuring the Mustang Mach-E.

The move was part of Gravity’s broader vision to create a sustainable fleet, supported by a robust charging infrastructure.

The company’s innovative approach involves integrating charging points into tree-like structures on city curbsides, offering both 200kW and 500kW options. This design not only saves space but also adds to the aesthetic appeal of city streets.

Gravity’s vision aligns with a growing trend in Europe, where curb-side charging is becoming increasingly prevalent.

This approach caters to the needs of urban dwellers who may not have access to private driveways or garages, thereby democratizing the availability of EV charging.
