Singer and songwriter Ray G, best known for his latest song Freedom, revealed in a recent interview that he had a childhood dream of becoming the President of Uganda and shared his story with the host of Galaxy TV Mr Henrie.
Ray G, whose real name is Reagan Muhairwe, said he developed an interest in politics and leadership at school.
He said that he often asked his advisor if it would be possible to become an artists’ president, noting that most artists’ songs were violent and conflicting
He said he remains passionate about politics and social issues, and uses his music as a platform to express his views and opinions.
“I wanted to be president of Uganda when I was growing up. I used to ask my teacher if artistes could be president. I decided to make soft music because I wanted to make peace to reach out to more people,” he said. he said, smirking.
