Alpha Tymz, a presenter on Galaxy TV and Galaxy FM, has come out to defend singer Eddy Kenzo from John Segawa’s verbal attack. Segawa, a director and actor of Afri-talent, had called Kenzo illiterate for siding with rapper Gravity Omutujju in a heated feud with Bobi Wine.
Gravity Omutujju had challenged Bobi Wine to donate his Busabala beach property to build a hospital for Ugandans, accusing him of not doing enough for the country.
This sparked a lot of reactions from fans and fellow artists, some supporting Gravity and others backing Bobi Wine. Eddy Kenzo, the Uganda Musician Federation president, was among those who agreed with Gravity’s argument.
Segawa, who is also a performing artist, was angered by Kenzo’s stance and called him illiterate on social media. He claimed that Kenzo did not understand that it is not the job of a politician to build hospitals, rather it is the job of the government from the taxes its citizens pay.
Alpha Tymz, who is a friend and colleague of Kenzo, did not take Segawa’s insult lightly. He hit back at Segawa, saying that calling Kenzo illiterate was also being illiterate.
He said that Segawa should focus on movie production and leave music alone. He also asserted that Kenzo had acquired more wealth through music than him.
Alpha Tymz’s response has sparked more debate among the fans of the artists involved, with some applauding him for standing up for Kenzo and others criticizing him for disrespecting Segawa.
