IGP Okoth Ochola Launches Sh77.5 Billion Project for New Police Headquarters

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Okoth Ochola has launched the construction of the new state-of-the-art police headquarters offices at Naguru. The project, which is worth Sh77.5 billion, is expected to be completed in 2025.

The new police headquarters will occupy 1324 square meters of land and will house various offices and facilities for the police force.

The project is aimed at improving the working conditions and efficiency of the police officers and enhancing the security and service delivery to the public.

The IGP said that the project is part of the government’s efforts to modernize and professionalize the police force. He also thanked the government and the partners for their support and funding for the project.

He urged the contractors to adhere to the quality standards and timelines for the project. He also called upon the police officers and the public to cooperate and support the project.

The launch was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Deputy IGP, and the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda.
