Singer Jose Chameleone has finally accepted the challenge to face off with Bebe Cool in a music duel. The Leone Island Music Empire star announced his readiness to take on his longtime rival on X (Twitter).
“Bebe, Jangu blood!! I am ready!!!!!”, Chameleone tweeted, confirming his willingness to participate in the musical competition.
Chameleone’s tweet came after Bebe Cool had welcomed the idea of a music battle between them, saying that it would be a big deal for the country. Bebe Cool said that he was grateful to the government for showing interest and support for the music industry.
The suggestion for the music duel was made by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa, who expressed his desire to see Chameleone and Bebe Cool lock horns on stage. Tayebwa said that he was a fan of both musicians and that he wanted to witness their talents.
Bebe Cool said that the music battle would not only be entertaining, but also beneficial for the industry.
He said that it would help them raise money to support young and upcoming musicians, who have been struggling financially. He also said that it would attract people from different backgrounds and promote tourism.
The music battle between Chameleone and Bebe Cool is expected to be one of the biggest events in Uganda’s music history, as the two are considered among the most popular and influential artists in the country. The date and venue of the event are yet to be announced.
