Diamond Platnumz, one of the most popular and successful musicians in Africa, has revealed that he will not allow his daughter Princess Tiffah to follow his footsteps and become a singer.
The Tanzanian star, who has four children from different relationships, said that he does not want his daughter to face the challenges and dangers that he has encountered in the music industry.
In an interview with Wasafi TV, Diamond said that he loves his daughter very much and he wants her to have a good education and a stable career.
He said that the music industry is not a safe place for a girl child, as there are many temptations and risks involved. H
e also said that he does not want his daughter to be exposed to the public scrutiny and criticism that he has faced as a celebrity.
“I love my daughter so much and that is why I will never allow her to do music. I want her to go to school and study hard. The music industry is not good for girls because they can be easily lured into bad things. I don’t want my daughter to go through what I have gone through in this industry. I also don’t want her to be judged by people who don’t know her or understand her,” Diamond said.
Diamond’s statement comes as a surprise to many of his fans, who have seen him share videos of his daughter singing and dancing on social media. In November 2020, Diamond posted a video of him and Tiffah in the studio, working on a song called #SITAKI.
He said that the song would officially usher Tiffah into the music industry at the age of five. However, it seems that Diamond has changed his mind since then, and he is now determined to protect his daughter from the music world.
Tiffah is Diamond’s first child with his ex-girlfriend Zari Hassan, a Ugandan socialite and businesswoman. The couple also have a son named Nillan, who was born in 2016.
