Zuena Kirema Ssali, the wife of singer Bebe Cool, has shared the details of how they got married 20 years ago in a civil ceremony at Crane Chambers. She revealed that they were broke and could not afford a white wedding gown and a proper suit.
Zuena Kirema posted a message on her Facebook page, celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. She said that they left home and hit the road to go exchange their vows. They arrived at Crane Chambers at 1 pm and by 3 pm they were married.
She said that the excitement was nothing she could explain and that Bebe Cool started calling her mukyala (wife) around the house even for unnecessary reasons.
She said that she was glad that 20 years down the road, they have stuck to each other and are truly enjoying marriage.
She also described Bebe Cool as her friend before her husband and said that was what was keeping them going. She said that every year that passes, she gets to realize how lucky she is to be his wife. She expressed her love for him and wished him a happy 20th wedding anniversary.
Bebe Cool also posted a message on his Facebook page, praising Zuena Kirema as his best friend, wife, mother, and partner. He said that he was proud of their journey and thanked her for being there for him.
He said that he loved her more than words could say and wished her a happy 20th wedding anniversary.
