Kampala, Uganda – A suspected terrorist has been arrested by the police after a bomb scare in Kampala on Sunday.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SP Patrick Onyango, confirmed the arrest and warned that three more bombs are still in public places.
He urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious objects or persons to the nearest police station.
He also advised the public to avoid crowded areas and follow the security guidelines issued by the authorities.
He said that the police are working with other security agencies to locate and defuse the remaining bombs and to prevent any possible attacks.
He did not reveal the identity or motive of the arrested suspect, but said that he is being interrogated by the police.
He assured the public that the situation is under control and that the police are doing everything possible to ensure their safety and security.
He appealed to the public to cooperate with the police and to remain calm and alert.
