Controversial singer Kapa Cat has announced her departure from Karma Ivan’s management, only two months after joining the Untouchable Music label.
The singer, who is known for her provocative songs and style, has not revealed the exact reasons for her decision, but sources close to her claim that she was unhappy with Karma Ivan’s handling of her career.
According to the sources, Kapa Cat felt that Karma Ivan, who is also the founder of the label, did not give her enough support and guidance, and failed to invest in her artistic development.
The singer reportedly struggled to make ends meet, even facing difficulties in paying her rent. Her former manager, who is also the head of TAF Music Uganda, intervened and offered to take her back under his wing.
The sources also allege that Karma Ivan increased Kapa Cat’s booking fee without her consent, and prevented her from performing at certain events, limiting her income and exposure. This created tension between the singer and the manager, leading to their eventual split.
Karma Ivan has not commented on the matter yet, but his partner Arafat Baddest, who co-founded the label with him, expressed his disappointment with Kapa Cat’s departure.
He said that he had high hopes for her, and that he had personally recruited her to join the label. He wished her well in her future endeavors but also warned her to be careful with whom she trusted.
