Artin Pro is a young and talented music producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the Ugandan music industry, such as Fik Fameica, Sheebah Karungi, Grenade Official, and Beenie Gunter.
But his closest collaborator and friend is Rickman Manrick, the Afro-beat sensation who has taken the region by storm with his catchy songs.
Artin Pro, whose real name is Martin Musoke, was born in 1996 and grew up in a musical family. His mother, Rose Namutebi, played piano and most of his relatives were involved in church choirs.
Artin Pro had a passion for singing, but he realized that he could not afford the cost of producing a song. He decided to learn production instead, so he could make his own music.
He started his journey by linking up with a village-mate called John Mary, who was an established gospel music producer. He learned the basics of music production from him, and then moved on to another studio in Makindye, a Kampala division, where he met more singers and producers.
It was there that he produced his first hit song, Byenyenya by Fik Fameica, in 2017. He also produced other songs for Fameica, such as Property, which caused controversy for its alleged plagiarism of another song.
Artin Pro’s career took a turn when he joined Jahlive Studios, founded by Frank Mugerwa. There, he met Rickman Manrick, who was also working under Jahlive at the time.
The two hit it off and became close friends and partners. Rickman Manrick appreciated Artin Pro’s talent and paid him well for his work. He also gifted him his first iPhone and supported him in his endeavors.
Artin Pro has produced many of Rickman Manrick’s songs, including his biggest ones like Bango, Hangover and Tusimbudde. The duo have a unique chemistry and style that sets them apart from other artists and producers.

In 2019, Artin Pro started his own studio called Axtra Nation, where he continues to produce music for himself and others.

Artin Pro, who went to Gayaza Cambridge College of St Mbaga for secondary education, studied Records and Archives Management at Makerere University.
