Ugandans were shocked and saddened by the news of a brutal attack on Lhubiriha Secondary School in Kasese district on Friday morning. The attack, which was carried out by suspected ADF rebels, left about 40 students dead, 8 injured and an unknown number kidnapped.

Security forces have detained 20 people in connection with the attack, including the Headmaster and Director of the school. They are suspected to have aided and abetted the ADF rebels, who reportedly spent two days in the area before launching the attack.
