John Blaq, a Ugandan singer, has expressed his discontent towards BET Award winner and Grammy nominee Eddy Kenzo, stating that he will never recognize him as his president.

This follows Kenzo’s recent election as the president of the newly formed Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), which was created by artists who reportedly disagree with the current leadership of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), headed by Cindy Sanyu.

UMA is recognized as the organization responsible for musicians’ issues, but the creation of UMF has caused confusion among Ugandan musicians, with many questioning why it was formed when there is already an established musicians’ body in the country.

According to John Blaq, he only recognizes UMA and believes that new musicians are being exploited by those who have been in the industry for a while to earn money for their own benefit.

He maintains that he will only recognize Cindy Sanyu as his president and does not understand anything about the Federation and its new leaders.

In a heated statement, the “Obubadi” singer made it clear that he does not believe in the Federation and that Eddy Kenzo will never be his president.
